WoTUG - The place for concurrent processes

Communicating Process Architectures 2012

Communicating Process Architectures 2012, the 34th WoTUG conference on concurrent and parallel programming, ran from Sunday August 26th to Wednesday August 29th 2012. The conference was hosted by the Institute of Arts, Media and Computer Games at the University of Abertay Dundee.

All the papers and presentations from CPA 2012 are available from the WoTUG paper collection. The CPA 2012 proceedings were published by Open Channel Publishing Ltd., ISBN 978-09565409-5-9.

The CPA Conference Series

WoTUG provides a forum for the discussion and promotion of concurrency in computer science, organising an annual conference and specialist workshops. CPA 2012 is the twelfth conference under the name of Communicating Process Architectures, and the thirty-fourth in this series of WoTUG conferences.

The primary theme of the CPA conference series is concurrency — at all levels of granularity, in both software and hardware. The CPA conference series aims to bridge the gap between the mathematical theory of concurrency, using process algebras such as CSP to model and analyse complex concurrent systems, and the practice of parallel software engineering, building efficient, reliable software for embedded, multicore and distributed computing systems.

CPA 2011 was colocated with FM 2011 within Lero, the Irish Software Engineering Research Centre at the University of Limerick, Ireland.
