An application of ultrasonic signal processing in a mixed system of transputers and digital signal processors

Abstract:

A system is described in which a floating-point digital signal processor is incorporated into a transputer array. The resulting combination provides a significant resource which is being used to process ultrasonic echoes to determine surface roughness.
