Paper DetailsAn investigation of several parallel genetic algorithms Authors: Macfarlane, Donald, East, Ian R. Abstract: Genetic algorithms (GAs) are important search and optimisation techniques with a wide range of applications. The demand for GAs with fast response times has led to the investigation of parallel implementations. Three parallel GAs are designed, implemented on a transputer network, and compared over several benchmark problems.
