WebSumit
- Abstract
- WebSubmit enables users to run applications via the
Web. The initial goal of WebSubmit is to make it easier
for users to run applications on supercomputers. This
is accomplished by creating a web page interface to
the application on the supercomputer. The first implementations
of WebSubmit are an interface to the IBM LoadLeveler
job scheduler and for running Gaussian 94, a molecular
dynamics program, on an IBM SP2. The user enters input
on a web page form to submit a LoadLeveler or Gaussian
94 job to the SP2. The status of the job may be monitored
from the web page in addition to using other utility
functions. All of the web pages are dynamically generated
with CGI scripts written in Tcl.
