mpC
- Abstract
- The mpC programming language and its programming environment
are aimed at the efficient usage of heterogeneous networks
of computers, characterizing by the diversity of processor
performances and link speeds and bandwidths, for high-performance
computing. The system supports and facilitates the
development of parallel applications adaptable to peculiarities
of executing hardware. Unlike traditional tools that
distribute the work evenly over all available processors,
mpC allows to distribute computations and communications
over underlying network of computers taking into account
both relative performances of processors and communication
overheads. The mpC environment performs such tuning
in run time, therefore the user needn't to rewrite
or even recompile the correspoding application when
porting it to other network of computers
