DDLIB - Data Distribution Library

Abstract
DDLIB was designed to provide an automatic data distribution and redistribution of 2D array in a MIMD architecture for data parallel applications. The data distribution functions provide eight standard distribution types; broadcast, horizontal, grid, vertical, horizontal with overlap, grid with overlap, vertical with overlap, and customized. The above functions are available for both local mode and remote mode. In the local mode, the data is read from a file and written to a file in a local file system. The file I/O is performed by the nodes using a global synchronous read/write mechanism. In the remote mode, the data is read from and written to a remote machine via a socket connection.
