NAME
       FileStats - Scan SDDF file and report statistics

SYNOPSIS
       FileStats [ SDDFfile ]

DESCRIPTION
       The  FileStats  program scans an SDDF file and reports the
       minimum and maximum values for each field, and  the  total
       count  of  each  record type.  For fields that are arrays,
       the minimum and maximum values  are  determined  over  all
       cells  in  the  array  and the minimum and maximum size of
       each array dimension is also printed.

       If a SDDF file is not specified on the command  line,  the
       program prompts for it.

       Statistics are printed to stdout.
