Telmat Multinode

The company

Telmat Multinode is a leading french manufacturer of distributed
memory parallel computers and has built up a strong competence in the
field of parallel processing. Since 1985, it has developed solid
connections with european research centers, academies and companies
with complementary know-how and has been involved in numerous Esprit
research projects. Telmat Multinode started shipping products in
1989; its customer base is spread around twelve european countries
and extends to eastern europe, africa and asia. Its machines are used
for developping and running applications in areas such as scientific
computing, medical imagery, simulations, expert systems, neural
networks, genetic algorithms, signal processing, image processing and
broadband servers.

Telmat Multinode designs and manufactures a line of transputer based
parallel systems; the latest generation of these products is the
T9000 based "TN" line of machines. These systems are designed for
"embedded" applications and are used for signal processing, image
processing, or as broadband servers (still images, video,...); they
are also well suited as parallel processing education and development
platforms.

Telmat Multinode also provides numerous services, including training,
consulting, technical assistance and complete development and
optimisation of parallel programs; dedicated hardware is also
developped for specific customers when required.

In 1994, Telmat Multinode acquired assets from Archipel SA, and is
now selling a number of products initially designed by Archipel
(Volvox brand name) in addition to its own designs. This includes
transputer boards ( PC, VME and Sbus standards) and parallel
computers.
