The Transputer Benchmark may be run by placing the demo disk in the
A: drive (either 360KB or 1.2MB) and then typing:

        A:ALTA

This demonstration WILL ONLY WORK WITH ONE OR MORE T8xx TRANSPUTERS.
Use of a T4xx transputer will cause the program to halt on the TRAVEL
and FLOAT benchmarks (there is no floating point processor on the
T4xx). Version 2.0 requires an B004-compatible interface in a PC,
   PC/AT or PC Compatible host.

The selected benchmark is run for a fixed time period (about 10
seconds) on each of the targets: first on the host, then on a single
transputer, and finally on all connected transputers. Each time an
iteration of the benchmark task is completed, the speed indicator (the
cursor at the top of the window) moves one space and a counter is
   incremented.

Upon completion of the benchmark, the results are graphically displayed
to show the relative performance of the host and the transputers.

This benchmark is supplied free of charge and may be copied and
distributed BUT NOT ALTERED OR SOLD.

Alta Technology Corporation (ALTACOR) is a supplier of parallel
processing solutions which include board-level transputer products,
   compilers, libraries, and productivity tools.

ALTACOR's product focus on high-performance solutions has created the
SUPERLINK series of 16-bit PC/AT transputer boards. The SUPERLINK
interfaces deliver from 1.5 Megabytes to 4 Megabytes per second between
a transputer and a 16-bit AT host - up to 15 TIMES FASTER than a
   traditional B004-style interface.

SUPERLINK products provide complete flexibility in meeting your
parallel processing requirements with the following products:
