There are values of the argument to this function 
(close to 3*pi/2 + 2*n*pi) for which this function gives totally wrong
results. A consequence of this bug is that the function   SIN   on the
T2 can give results close to 1.0 for some arguments where the result
should be -1.0. If such behaviour is likely to be a problem it may be
necessary to use the T8 version of the SIN   function (recompiled for
T2). If the overhead of this approach by way of additional library code
loaded is unacceptable, then it will be necessary to create a purpose
designed work-around. Please direct any such requests via software
