The TDS server includes support for a mode of file reading called host
text file mode. This is not used by the TDS itself. However it does mostly
work according to its specification, with one known exception: If a disk
block ends with a   '*c'  , and the next disk block starts with a
'*n'  , the   tkf.read   command will read a line containing one
too many initial spaces when it starts reading the second block.
