Bulletin number: 82 Products affected: D700D Description: Description of the TDS servers. Section 16.4 Component: THE DOCUMENTATION Date: Tue May 15 17:00:00 GMT 1990 ----- Undocumented features of the implementation of the TDS servers on DOS hosts. The behaviour of the servers in response to tt.initialise is as follows: The assembler version of SERVER14 says that the screen has 23 lines of 79 columns each, line operations are supported and character operations are not. CSERVER supports 24 lines of 79 columns, and line operations but no character operations. A server made with the ANSI screen handler supports 24 lines of 79 characters with no line or character operations. Note that the screen dimensions refer to the editing window and not to the physical screen. In general it is not possible to mix sequential output of lines to the screen, with automatic scrolling at the bottom, with line insertion and deletion operations, and the behviour of such attempts is strictly undefined.
