The S514A package as distributed is only suitable for installation on
Sun 3 type systems.  This might lead one to believe that it will work
on a Sun 3/470.  In fact it won't work.  The hardware is upwards
compatible but the kernel software is not.

The way to find out about the architecture of a Sun system is with the
command

   arch -k

If the response is

   sun3

the driver should work.  Any other response like sun3x, sun4 or 386i
will not.

This situation will be fixed in S514B.
