What is Windows Server Package
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Windows Server Package includes:

 - WServer - Transputer Windows Server with IServer (INMOS), PServer
             (PACT/ACE), AFServer (3L) and CIO (Logical Systems) protocols;
 - WLib    - Windows API library for using with transputer/i860 
             "C" compiler and WServer.

1. Requirements

  - 386/486/P5 computer with 2 Mb RAM, VGA display & card
  - DOS 5.0/6.xx + Microsoft Windows 3.x or Windows'95
  - Transputer board (wide range supported)
  - "C" development system for writing Windows Applications 
    using Windows Libraries. Supported:
        - Logical Systems PC Transputer Workbench 94.1/94.2 (WBBIN-PC)
        - INMOS ANSI C Toolset (IMSD7214)
        - i860 Toolset 2.0 (TSS860C-PC)

2. Compatibility

Windows Server Package is fully compatible with mentioned development 
systems loadable files, protocols and host commands (ANSI.SYS-driver 
command suport, access to real mode physical addresses via DPMI etc.).

3. Facilities

3.1. Windows Server

  - easy-to-use menu-driven interface;
  - smart tool bar & status bar;
  - background execution (accurate message dispatching) with three
    priority levels;
  - controls up to 3 boards;
  - tuning polling timeouts (useful for fast computers);
  - "Protocol" mode with output to screen and/or file - all messages
    from/to host are visible to user;
  - peeking transputer memory;
  - execution control (always can terminate & suspend transputer task);
  - link interface via DLL library (open architecture).

3.2. Windows Libraries

  - event-driven architecture like with Microsoft SDK;
  - fast I/O file operations using Windows API calls w/cashing;
  - about 200 Windows functions: full API interface;
  - modal and modeless dialogs;
  - access to resources (Menus, Dialogs, Bitmaps, Icons and Cursors)
    created with SDK Paint & Dialog editor or Borland WorkShop);
  - easy working with bitmaps (load/save, palette management etc.);
  - printing capabilities;
  - clipboard manager functions;
  - safe memory access via DPMI;
  - memory management functions like GlobalAlloc, GlobalLock etc. to
    access HOST virtual memory from transputers;
  - user protocol extensions via DLL libraries;
  - DDE protocol support (both client and server functions,
    examples available, full documentation included);
  - high-speed graphics (buffering some GDI functions).

What is Windows Server Package (working demo)

Working demo of Windows Server Package have some limitations in
comparison with the full (commercial) version:

  - Windows Library available only for INMOS ANSI C Toolset;
  - 3L afserver protocol not supported;
  - fast I/O library not included;
  - clipboard management not supported;
  - DDE not supported;
  - access to HOST virtual memory not supported;
  - only a few transputer motherboards supported;
  - graphics not buffered;
  - protocol extensions not available;
  - modeless dialogs not available;
  - not tested under Windows'95.

However, Windows Library still contains about 100 API functions
enough for not very complex programs.
