Shutting down the LAM engine

Finally, how to terminate your LAM session? It is not enough just to log out. LAM daemons will be left running in the background. You should shutdown the LAM engine with the command wipe:

gustav@jupiter:~/mpi/simplempi 214 $ wipe -v
Enter boot schema filename (bhost format): /opt/lam/boot/bhost.def
tkill n0 (cisr)...
tkill n1 (mercury)...
tkill n2 (venus)...
tkill n3 (earth)...
tkill n4 (mars)...
tkill n5 (jupiter)...
tkill n6 (saturn)...
tkill n7 (uranus)...
tkill n8 (bacchus)...
tkill n9 (ceres)...
tkill n10 (diana)...
tkill n11 (minerva)...
tkill n12 (vesta)...
gustav@jupiter:~/mpi/simplempi 215 $
Observe that in this one case you will have to specify the name of the boot schema file explicitly. All other LAM commands read /opt/lam/boot/bhost.def by default.
