Newsgroups: comp.parallel From: fs@eacpc4.tuwien.ac.at (Florian Sukup) Subject: Tool Evaluation (PVM etc) Using the NAS Parallel Benchmarks Organization: Technical University Vienna, Austria Date: Thu, 12 May 1994 16:44:58 GMT I evaluated the parallelization tools: PVM 2.x, PVM 3.x, p4, Express and Linda on a workstation cluster: 9 IBM RS6000 320H, token ring capable of 16 Mbits/s using the NAS parallel benchmark kernels: Embarrassingly Parallel, Multigrid, Conjugate Gradient and Integer Sort. The report containing the parallel algorithms, results etc. has been published and is avaliable now, as well as the source code of the implementation. Report and source code is now available via ftp: perelandra.cms.udel.edu:/pub/Misc/ (Thanks to John D. McCalpin/Assistant Professor/College of Marine Studies, U. Del).
