Abstract

Susan Graham and Katherine Yelick will integrate the language and compiler technology from their Titanium project with the common run-time library being developed by the partnership. As of October 1997, the Berkeley Titanium implementation is underway but incomplete. Once the system is available to the partnership, they, in collaboration with Philip Colella and Luigi Semenzato, will work with Earth Systems Science thrust members to apply the support they are providing for computational fluid dynamics. The integration of Titanium with KeLP will be accomplished either by enabling Titanium programs to invoke the KeLP library, or by re-implementing KeLP directly in Titanium. It is anticipated that Titanium will be used for one of Mary Wheeler's ESS projects.
