MPI-IO/PIOFS
- Abstract
- MPI-IO/PIOFS is an implementation of MPI-IO, developed by the Scalable Parallel Systems Department at the IBM T.J.
Watson Research Center.
It runs on the IBM SP2. The MPI-IO parallel application
runs on client nodes that communicate via the IBM Message Passing Interface (MPI). Other nodes of the IBM SP2 are used
as storage nodes and constitute PIOFS servers. Client nodes and PIOFS servers communicate with each other via PMP,
which is the message passing layer of the IBM AIX Parallel I/O File System (PIOFS).
