PIPT
- Abstract
- PIPT (Parallel Image Processing Toolkit) is a parallel image processing software library based on the Message Passing Interface (MPI) standard. PIPT is a parallel version of the Image Processing Toolkit (IPT) that was developed at Rome Lab in 1993. A large number of image processing routines use a relatively small number of shared computational kernels. Thus, instead of making each routine in the toolkit explicitly parallel, PIPT focuses on parallelizing the computational kernels. Users can also implement their own image processing routines which utilize the parallel aspects of the toolkit.
