Parallel Khoros
- Abstract
- Khoros is intended to provide a single environment
that supports the entire software development life
cycle, from algorithm creation, to application development,
to system deployment. The parallel extensions (based on MPI) to
Khoros in version 2.3 are designed to assist developers as
they move their code to parallel computing architectures
to take advantage of their speed in solving computationally
intense problems. These extensions will support both
parallel algorithm development, as well as provide
an easily accessible, "off-the-shelf" parallel application
environment. The parallel extensions are centered around
two new toolboxes. These toolboxes are currently being
used to develop a series of data parallel operators,
which will allow any Advanced Khoros user to benefit
from parallel processing without having to write a
single line of parallel code.
