FFTW (Fast Fourier Transform in the West)
- Abstract
- FFTW is a very fast C library for computing the Discrete
Fourier Transform in one or more dimensions. The data
can either be real or complex, of arbitrary input size,
and not restricted to powersof-two. FFTW is free software
(GNU public license). Published benchmarks on a variety
of different platforms show that FFTW's performance
is typically better than other FFT software available
in public domain. Included in the distribution is also a parallel version of FFTW, which is based on MPI. The FFTW package was developed at
MIT by Matteo Frigo and Steven G. Johnson.
