Hi,

Talked to Eonic Systems and they have agreed to release virtuoso for the
transputer for FREE without source code & can not be used for Commercial
purposes. Here is the email Eric Verhulst (CEO of Eonic Systems) sent me:

Hi Ram,

Sounds like a good idea. I personally regret the demise of the transputer. It
taught us a lot. The only remaining technology are products like Virtuoso and
the T9000 derived IEEE1355 link. But even the latter one has a hard time
finding acceptance. Therefore : I propose to release free of charge the
Transporter version for Virtuoso, with the exception of the source code and
its use for commercial purposes. The latest release is still a 3.x version
for T4xx and T800 (and still being used mostly for scientific satellites).
This is not the latest release (now at 4.1), hence no Windows GUI tools,
everything is DOS based on the host side.

I propose that this version is placed together with a version of the manual
as a downloadable on our WEB site and I am willing to put it on your WEB site
as well, provided : 1. You make the effort of disseminating it to the whole
transputer/occam community. 2. A few document pages are added with a link to
our eonic.com WEB site.

Best regards,

Eric Verhulst,
CEO

Cheers,

Ram
