A few years ago, I built an OS-link <-> SCSI converter, but we never
shipped it, as we couldn't afford to waste links that way. If you can
cope with <20Mbits/s performance, the hardware and software are both
simple, and the processor load is minimal, even on a busy T2. Worth a
thought, anyway. I imagine an IDE interface would be harder to
implement. (SCSI fits _very_ cleanly onto an OS-link).
