Dear All,

Does anyone know where I can get hold of an OS (preferably UNIX based,
but this isn't compulsory) that will allow multiprocessing across an
ethernet network? I was hoping for a UNIX (specifically
Linux/FreeBSD) daemon or kernel that would decide which machine to run
new processes/threads on, and hopefully do load balancing.

All the machines would be PCs, connected by Ethernet (perhaps Fast
Ethernet if we're lucky)

Any suggestions? Thanks all.

Cheers,

Tim Burgess
