Pre-Sales Performance Analyst The Woodlands, Texas

HNSX Supercomputers Inc., a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, is seeking
a computer analyst interested in being part of the very top of high
performance computing.  This position will eventually include all
aspects of technical computing and presales marketing activities. 

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated successes with code
optimizations for parallel and/or vector system architectures.
Degrees with a major or minor in a physical science or mathematics are
preferred.  Proficiencies in FORTRAN and C languages are mandatory.
Exposure to programming with MPI is advantageous.  The successful
candidate will have the opportunity to be mentored by the best in the
industry. 

Initial responsibilities will include optimizing supercomputer
applications for NEC's SX-4 and SX-5 Series parallel vector systems.
As expertise with the SX-5 is acquired there will also be travel to
prospect sites to coordinate benchmark activities and to make
technical presentations about the SX-5 Series.  Travel load will vary,
but will initially include irregular overnight trips throughout North
America. 

The position is located at The Woodlands, TX, a master-planned
community 30 miles North of Houston.  The work environment is informal
and requires someone comfortable in a team environment where personal
initiative for maximum personal contribution is the norm.
