We anticipate that positions will be available for Research Associate III (RA-III) and Research Associate IV (RA-IV) levels. REQUIREMENTS: Both positions require a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related area; qualifications and experience in parallel computer architecture and systems research, including parallelizing compilers, programming languages, and scientific applications for parallel computers. The RA-III position requires 1 to 2 years of experience, and the RA-IV position requires 3 to 5 years of experience. DUTIES: Plan, organize, direct and control research projects; design and develop novel execution and architecture models, such as multi-threaded program execution and architecture models, software tools, and experimental studies to evaluate the models and software; supervise and coordinate the work of other team members; prepare final reports; write technical papers; interface with investigators in other universities. Candidates for the RA-IV position are also expected to serve as a lead researcher, participate in University committees, assist in obtaining funding for research and develop research proposals.
