What is SCMS ?
SCMS is a GUI tool that helps administrator of beowulf cluster manage
the cluster easily. This tool provides an Extensive set of Graphical
User Interface to submit parallel command to all nodes, do system
maintenance such as shutdown, reboot, remote login, remote command
execution on any particular node, set of nodes, and entire
cluster. Parallel Unix Command in text mode.

Display static hardware configuration of all nodes such as
CPU information, Memory Information, Device Information
and so on.

We design this tool to be easy to extendable using
plug-in system. New feature can be added by just dropping
the module into plug in directory!

SCMS Features
System Management
This part consists of a set of menu command for
basic system operation such as Reboot, Shut Down,
Control Panel. User can select to perform command on
one node; set of node, or all clusters using a dashboard
called Host Selector.

System Configuration
This part enables user to browse through hardware
and software configuration of each node.

System Monitoring
System Monitoring consist of a performance-monitoring daemon
and GUI tool that report system load in real-time.

Parallel Command
SCMS distribution also consists of parallel UNIX command
based of Parallel Tools Consortium Scalable UNIX Tool specificatio=
n.
This part is a GUI interface to this command,
which can also be called from command line.

Parallel concatenate
concatenated files or views contents of files.
Parallel copy
distributed file to each node in cluster.
Parallel execute
execute shell command on each node in cluster
Parallel find
find file in cluster
Parallel find process
find process in cluster by name of process
Parallel kill process
kill process in cluster by name of process
Parallel kill user
kill process in cluster by user name
Parallel list
listing file in cluster
Parallel load
report load in cluster
Parallel move
move file from source to destination in same node
Parallel predicate
Execute commands on multiple nodes conditionally
Parallel process status
display process information of each node in cluster
Parallel remove
delete file in cluster
Parallel test
Perform test on multiple nodes

Plug in
To make the system flexible and extensible,
we provide a simple form of Plugin interface to scms.

How to get SCMS
Currently SCMS can be downloaded from www.smile.cpe.ku.ac.th
