Hi,

Is there any implementation of efficient software communication layer such
as Active Messages intended to improve bandwidth and latency of 10Mbps
Ethernet network, preferably for SunOS and/or Solaris at user level thus
not requiring changes to kernels and/or systems?
What sort of performance in terms of bandwidth and latency can I expect fro=
m
such an implementation if there is any?=20

Specifically, I am looking for a fairly reliable and efficient implementati=
on
of AM-2 for SunOS and/or Solaris boxes connected through 10Mbps Ethernet ha=
ving
compatible library routines to other implementations so that a program=20
written using such a library can be ported to other systems, e.g. Myrinet=
=20
without changes to the program. However, I would be very grateful to any=20
information on any software communication layer for 10Mbps Ethernet.=20
Thank you very much in advance.
