The Centre for Computer Systems Architecture (CCA) devotes its
research activities to Innovative Computer Systems and
Applications. The focus is on intelligent mechatronics, embedded
supercomputing, and real-time systems. Research activities within the
area of Intelligent Mechatronics include: Vision guided robotics,
neural network applications, sensor signal processing, advanced
control, and perception/action. The research within Embedded
Supercomputing includes: VLSI architectures, advanced signal
processing systems, optical interconnect systems, time-deterministic
architectures, and compiler technology for parallel processing. Within
the field of Real-Time Systems the current research at CCA includes:
Time-deterministic systems, real-time programming environments,
evaluation tools for scheduling and allocation, and wireless real-time
communication.

The closing date for applications is April 6th 1998.
