			   August 14, 1998

SCOPE:
------
The workshop on the Architectural and Operating System Support for 
Multimedia Applications will bring together researchers, developers, 
and practitioners from both academia and industry to discuss issues 
related to this emerging and fast-growing field. The topics of interest 
include, but are not limited to:

Storage and server architecture
Operating system support for multimedia
Workload characterization
Scheduling and admission control
Quality of Service
Multimedia file system and databases
Web server and services
Multimedia applications


PAPER SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
----------------------------
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished research findings 
or practical experiences. The length of the papers should not exceed 12 
single-spaced pages including figures and references. Papers should be 
submitted electronically in postscript format by sending it as an e-mail 
attachment to aosma@ee.iastate.edu. If electronic submission is not 
possible, please send four copies of the full manuscript to one of the 
workshop chairs.

All papers will be peer reviewed and the comments will be provided to the
