			  RESEARCH ASSISTANT
		 (Experimental Parallel Algorithmics)

A Research Assistant position is available in the High Performance
Computing Lab of the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering,
University of New Mexico.  The assistant will be required to work in
collaboration with Professor David Bader at the University of New
Mexico, to investigate parallel algorithms and programming
methodologies for clusters of symmetric multiprocessors. A successful
candidate will have both a strong theoretical and practical computer
engineering background, in the area of parallel algorithms,
architectures, and programming languages.

The assistant will receive a stipend of $16,000 per year and tuition
paid.

The University of New Mexico maintains a rich, collaborative
environment for high performance computing with the Albuquerque High
Performance Computing Center (affiliated with the National
Computational Science Alliance (NCSA)), Sandia National Laboratories,
Los Alamos National Laboratories, and Maui High Performance Computing
Center.
