Especially, I am interested in scaling experiences on MPP machines like IBM SP, CRAY T3E and also HP V-Class (SMP). For example, when I have a large matrix (> 1 GB) for LU-decomposition or for eigenvalue problems. How big is the speedup on 4 processors with 256 MB each in comparison to one and to 8 processors with 128 MB each?
