One or more positions are available. Each position involves the design,
development, and support of software used to study the interaction of
architecture, system software, and applications on massively parallel
computer systems. The work will be concentrated in the areas of virtual
reality tools and adaptive control as mechanisms for exploring and tuning
system performance, with some overlap to other group projects.

The ideal candidate would enjoy working with well-known researchers and the
latest equipment in an academic environment. Enthusiasm, technical
competence, ability to learn new skills, and attention to detail are
critical for success in these positions.

A bachelor's degree in computer science or a related scientific field, and
at least two years experience with C programming (preferably C++) and the
UNIX operating system are the minimum requirements. In addition, experience
with high-end virtual reality systems, OpenGL, and large-scale software
projects is highly desirable.

These positions are available immediately. To assure full consideration,

12-month, 100 percent time academic professional appointment with regular
University benefits. Salary will be commensurate with experience.
